I hate being the party pooper but its not funny. His dad was a poofteenth away from being killed. A mini falling on you will kill you - it will crush you dead even with the wheels on.

Its only 12 months since we lost a neigbour to a car falling on him. He was under it and the supports gave way. Blocks of wood actually. Not sawn square blocks, just timber for fire. His wife went into town to buy lunch for both of them. The electricity meter reader found him dead with the car resting on him. Legs sticking out and moments later his wife arrived home with the hamburgers. Twenty minutes later the school bus arrived with his two kids. The police at that stage had not arrived as he was already dead and they had another priority job call so it was still just a pair of legs sticking out.

I told that whole story because safety is just important - as three people have said they were so close to serious injury.

end of sermon.

Wow, thats really not good.. sorry to hear that hey, that wakes one up fast to the danger tho... I think he meant the way I told the story tho, coz it seems funny after no-one gets hurt.. :? Nevertheless I always use jackstands, tyres, anything to support the car now :D Too many close calls...

Thats okay, I wasn't offended and I wasn't specifically having a shot at you. I have seen a few dead bodies in my life now and I just feel so sad and frustrated when the loss of life was needless.

I have always had a thing about doing things safely and I was just making the point that these accidents happen so quickly and the results are just so final.
