Duc,
The speedo cable is a stock one- but there's just enough room to reach around the binnacle and undo the cable end, before pulling the binnacle back.
It's also got an early Clubbie plate screwed into the firewall hole, helps shut the noise up.. 8) Pretty neat setup.

The spare speedos I have are not Moke ones. You need to get one that suits the Moke's diff ratio and wheels. Check the numbers on front of the speedo face- the 4 digits at the RH end are `turns per mile'.

I'm putting the new diff in tomorrow, I've got the head off so I'll so stare at that for a while. If all goes sweet might do a couple of the smaller jobs.

Didn't have the head off when I last saw it.

Yea Brad...there is nothing like a day of Mini work and Mini chat!.....If I had beers I would have got them happening. It was hot enough!!

The lining looks MAD!! No dramas getting it in at all. Thanks everyone for the help and for the audience... I get less done with an audience, but it makes it so much more interesting!

Duc, after you and Michael left I had a chin wag with the people accross the street and we watched that storm front move accross from the direction you headed off into......... That was HUGE!!...and we were talking about driving in the rain just before....

Sorry I was not able to make it Anton.. but I had to get a coat on the Subby. I did do this and have found water in the belly of the compressor...quit a bit really..Still I got those little dots again. I'll put another coat on today. I had the Subby sitting outside drying upuntill the rain came down nice and hard..I feel you Duc.
Additionally I ripped all the front assembly apart except the ball joints which I need a big vice for, It'll be done today.

No Picks of the gathering :?:

I worked at JRA at Liverpool where all the vehicles were stored in the early 80's and we had a lot of Mokes in the yard that needed moving. It rained the night before and when we fronted up to do it every seat had water in it. It was not pleasant. I do recall there were somewhere round about 150 mokes and a lot of very wet people.
