OK we're getting somewhere...slowly. There still seems to be a suggestion that twin 6/44's would be overkill for the street.....but why when it's generally agreed a single 6 is so good? If each port is still only seeing the same carb size as when a single is used, why would it be overkill?

...I see nobody went near the needle comment :lol:

I agree with the needle comment, the ground is well trodden with twin HS4s, not so the twin HS6 or HIF44s.
Bear in mind the airflow through twins is intermittent- a double suck followed by a double rest- it could have some bearing on why smaller ones are preferred for twins.
I think twin HS4s are perfect on a 1275, but when you get up to around 1400cc with extensive engine mods they might be a tad small.

agree with docs comments, re being slighty to small but my car is built for thr road and dont need to extract every last drop of power from it.

Also had air cleaners a good selection of needles to try so hence the 1.5 got of the block first. Will look at getting a steel inlet manifold once the Mrs calms down regarding the latest panel beating bill. which i have not paid yet.. :lol:
