I think it is Steve.

It had 1460 on the rocker cover, just like that.

The owner gave me a weird story about it, saing the PO had imported it from UK through another country? (You didn't bring it in did you Steve?) Don't remember too much else, appart from those seats, which I didn't like when I saw them.

I saw it for sale in Para Hills on the side of the road. I was looking for a Mini body at that stage, and they wanted 12 grand for it. It went on eBay for around 9-10 grand and went interstate I heard.

For his asking price of 12 grbnad I could ahve got a good deal I reckon, but then again, where does a 14 year old who wants a project and worked for $12 an hour get that kind of money?

I ended up with a very similiar looking Mini to that anyways, it was probably my subconcious inspiration, as it was the first
hot" Mini I ever saw really.

PS- I jsut showed the pcitures to my dad and he agrees, that it's the same one we looked at. Minus union jack roof sticker.
