some old codga was rantin about it the other day and how it "makes it
go faster" lol

It's an urban myth that the A12 Datsun head fits an A series.
The pushrods and camshaft are all on the other side, for starters.
I'd really love to know how this one began... but it's been debunked many times here. :lol:

all so just wondering... what do you do with the old cam in the mini motor when you put a twin cam hed on a mini block? im not that mechanicaly minded so correct me if i said something stupid just than lol

For mad matt's twinky conversion you just leave it in the engine --> the cam is needed to drive the oil pump.

of power through the drive chain with a twin cam head like this :?

Everything that is driven from the crank will cost power. The cam, double valve springs, water pump, etc. all take power to run. But just try to run without them! :lol:
So the chain drive to a twin-cam head will lose a bit more power but that is nothing compared to the gain that you are getting from the twin cam head.
