wow.. normally its not something i condone because of the large amount of idiots out there but.. i couldn't help myself in this case and at the time it didn't seem to risky with police and safety and whatnot because there was only us on the road, bit silly when i look back on it.. it gave me a good feeling tho so i don't regret it 100%.. i think i will put much more effort into making it look and feel pretty than i will into ripping up the roads with it but i am sure you will agree its nice to show what they have sometimes right???

i doubt theres many people on this forum who havent had the same kinda fun roofalicious had.. even the ones who condone it. hell i condone it now. didnt stop me when i was younger though.

i remember taking off an mx-5... the guys gf was in the passenger seat. she was impressed i beat them off the lights. he wasnt!

i also remember trying to drag off wrx's. i knew i had no chance, but hey, my car sounded better, and i still had the biggest smile! it isnt always about winning!

anyway if you were caught racing a skyline, chances are you could easily convince the officer that the skyline was actually racing you, as thats what skyline drivers do! just be innocent.. this little thing couldnt beat a skyline officer.. why would i even try?!?!

I'll put my hand up here and state that NO it is not easy to get off.

I raced an RX7... Cost me $5000 and it took nearly 2 years by time i had it sorted.

Still got done for speeding and drag racing, too.

I second that. No it is not easy to get out of it these days. In fact they will just impound your car or crush it without a second thought. Slap you with a court without a second thought. You don't even have to be speeding and they will get you.

Wow I didn't realise having a punt at the traffic lights was such a big deal, at least for Minis. You guys' must have faster than Minis than me. I think most cops would laugh if they saw my Mini taking off at full pelt (and then potentially pull me over for a quick chat about the smoke screen).

I remember a few years back a mate of mine was pulled over for dragging somebody at the traffic lights. He was on his motorbike. Didn't have a clue what the cop was on about, he wasn't racing anybody! He just took off normally, and the Commodore next to him was giving it a bootful trying to keep up. My mate hadn't even noticed.

the best thing happened to me at the lights a few months back. three lanes me in the right, mr turbo intercooled WRX acting all fully in the left, sedan in the middle with 5 girls (good lookin to :P ). They where both stopped at the lights already when i pulled up. all five girls heads turn from left to right. Had a quick chat light turned green and mr WRX who has been reving at the lights gives his car all kinds of crap to get from the left to the right lane across the intersection to avoid a turning in truck taking the two left lanes. i thought heck why not dropped a gear and followed up to the speed limit then let him dissappear. the girls in the sedan followed me grinning for a while. didnt want to stop as my car farted all over the front of their white sedan  shhhhhh still a good story. also giving another mate crap as my car makes as loud and nice a sound as his new car but mine is half the cylinders and quarter the capacity
