Issue 17 of The Mini Experience covered the Fang and Taylorspeed Jem, as well as numerous other oddities, but not kit cars.

Previous issues have covered:
De Joux (a New Zealand creation, but there is one in Oz) - Issue 6
Buckle Monaco (not a kit car, but modified Mini shell and sold complete) - Issue 7
Ecurie de Des (not a kit car, but modified Mini shell and sold complete) - Issue 8
Unipower GT (UK built car, but featured one in Oz) - Issue 10
Lolita Mk1 and 2 - Issue 11
Broadspeed (not a kit car, but modified Mini shell and sold complete) - Issue 12

Cheers,
Watto.

Have a look through this lot:
http://www.minimarcos.org.uk/altpics/index.html

Of the few still producing kits, you can still import and register them as ICVs

No chance, I've got a wife an 3 kids. A Mini is already impractical enough.

Mind you seeing as we can't all fit in the Mini i might as well go the whole hog. Mmmm.

Complete with 8" wide Mambas on the back 8)

No need; you got it right first time around :)

Is that a full book? 'Cause that looks like a very interesting read and a much more appealing car than the quite dreadful looking Locost.

Yes that is a full book and the detailed chassis plans were available seperately . There are a fair few Terrapin's running hillclimbs etc in Australia though a fair few of them have now been converted to large motorbike engines instead of A series .

I think the original manufacturer of these actually made a typo when naming this er..er...creation, I think it was supposed to be called 'Ugle' as in just plain Ugly. Yes it is a Kit Car and full points for that, but it should have been drowned at birth.
