I'm going to disagree.. I think black works best for the wheel arches. Unless it's a trailer queen, they're going to get filthy and never look their best.. at least a dark wheel well hides the muck in the shadows.

That and I think a light colour looks a bit odd behind black tyres, but that's just me..

I used K&N underbody paint, cant remember the correct name. Applied with a parts cleaning gun, cheap one for the front and rear skirts. Spray it from a fair distance to get a clumpy look if that is what you are after. Applied it inside the boot with a brush and dabbed it roughly (like others on the first page) to get the look I was after. It dried pretty quickly so worked a bit at a time. It goes on pretty thick so buy a fair bit.

Poeee,

Both Big Gig and I used this stuff, it works well and doesn't cost the earth.

rubbery gunge that you paint over the panel seems to stop stuff and water getting in.

When i rebuilt my mini, i put a anti-chip coat on then 2 pak paint. The anti-chip coat is like the bitumen coat except its harder compound, and can be painted over. Will try and get some photos 4 ya
