You have to constantly fiddle with twins? That's news to me.

Mine were tuned about 2 years ago, and havn't needed to be touched since. The only thing that the carbies needed was some oil.

If you need to fiddle with twins all the time they need a repair kit and maybe new throttle shafts in `em.
I put Oz made `FuelMiser SU-750' kits in Barney's twin HS4s 4 years ago and have hardly touched them since.

well ive finally come to accept the fact that i really have no idea wats goin on most of the time with relation to minis, therefore,

I like the olde skool HS6, same power as an HIF44 and less complication. 8)
And MUCH cheaper to buy.
