Thanks fore your help morris 1100!

Those last three are definitely not replica cooper s's. You obviously know your replicas very well morris1100.

Here is a very very poor replica of an imitation Cooper S.

Note the owner has cleverly disguised the car to try and keep the buyer's eyes off the non replica original parts.

I'll say fake, the brace behind the grille next to the oil cooler is vertical, not angled.

Nah, it is angled. It is just a bad photo.

I thought original were spot welded and not riveted......, anyway I have a deluxe that has the spot welded angled brace, so would that now make it eligable for the replica register then.... :?: :P

The grey one in Doogie's post must be a fake - no genuine replica would have an electric fan like that

So Ryan,

How's it going? Have there been many details passed on to you?

NB: I am only interested in genuine original Cooper s Replicas
Your car qualifies if:
* It is a clubman with cooper s Badges
* A Delux or 850 shell with any 1275 motor and disk brakes
* Someone has come up to you at a servo and stated that it's a cooper s

My Mini van has 1100 engine and not a single genuine Cooper S part on it, but when I was last in Sydney I was asked if it is a Cooper S.

Now, given that it was not stated that it was a Cooper S, but rather I was asked IF it was a Cooper S, does that still qualify me to call it a Cooper S replica?

Cheers,
Watto. [/quote]
