No one mentioned how much swearing was involved in getting the hood lining out, but it is finally out :D Also got the doors completely striped.

Some things you just have to find out for yourself .... They normally aren't too hard to get out but can be quite stuck at times .

Caponix came around yesterday and helped me pull the engine out, the hardest part was separating the ball joints. I made up one of those engine lifting brackets from the "how to's" and it was really easy :D
All that's left is the wiring and a few little bits and bops.

I'm thinking about making a "spit" and was wondering if any one had some pictures of the BMC rotisserie firewall brackets? or was their whole bar shaped like the holes in the firewall and rear seat back?

Also has anyone ever installed the wiper motor behind the firewall in the cabin :? How noisy are they? I had the idea to make the engine bay neater.

Kenno, I won't lie to you. I'm missing most of the sound deadening in my car and I can hear it over the top of my engine idling. So putting it on the inside you won't have much protection from the sound.

You will need a enclosed dash I would think because once it is rubber mounted on the inside it will stick out a fair bit. If you are prepared to put up with the noise I reckon go for it!

If you are going to go for a fully enclosed dash you could always move your washer bottle inside too
