I will just sell as COD and do the transaction via a bank transfer - no biggy

PayPal is great if you are buying or selling big expensive stuff

Just ask me and I'll giver you my bank details as I have always done. Ebay can stick it in their arse. Post will be by request and not indicated. I just want to place an ad, not deal with a beauracracy.

That is going to be on the end of all my items as of June 17

Just to be a geek, I shall take the number of items listed on ebay (total and auto) in australia and compare it every two or three days till dooms day, then for a week to ten days after.
Whether nothing changes or it all goes downhill I'll be interested to find out.
:D

I don't think you will be able to list COD as the only payment option, only as well as Paypal. I reckon you will find that if you list both, you will probably get a few people simply email for bank details.

I dunno about Paypal being good for big expensive stuff. I sold a car on Ebay for $1200 and the buyer paid with Paypal. The fees were significant.

Paypal can backfire and often does. All a buyer has to do is say they didn't get the goods and Paypal will pay the buyer back OUT OF THE SELLERS ACCOUNT- Seller is then out of pocket and no goods

Yes this is true, I have had it happen to me twice. Have lost over $1500 + Goods. This is why I hate Paypal.

Oh how I wish someone cashed up & bored like Bill Gates will make a rival thats big enough and works. Without competition eBay can and does do whatever they want.

When I post things on Ebay I only use either Express Post prepaid satchels or registered/insured post. That way there is always a degree of tracking and more importantly, you have proof of postage. Sending things regular mail is risky as the customer simply says "I didn't receive it" and there is little you can do.
