Hold it, as said, before spending bigger $$ on coil, etc look at the condensor. I was at the shop and a guy came in and had been on his 3rd condensor in 2 months... they were crap condensors - but bought at a very reputable supplier (bad batch or supplier getting cheaper copies lately I dont know)

Points, Condensor see what happens... very cheap to try... then move on I say.

I was just wondering is there any major difference between a 1275cc Carby and a 1275cc Fuel injected? Besides the obvious fuel delivery method.

Do they give more power, easier to modify etc.?

No more power from the injected ones, just needless complication, harder to modify.
It was done to pass the UK emissions regs, not give more power.
But I'm old, so what would I know...

<edit> Many people in the UK convert them to carbs, as the power road via carbs is well trodden.

Hey Blake...check out the Drs email address...it should be c/o the Hills Old Peoples Centre :P

As for why more expensive...simple...the fool injected ones are generally newer Rover-type Minis!! :D
