The Wollondilly is a river that runs from up near Crookwell and flows down into the Warragamba Dam (Lake Burragorang) west of Sydney.
One region that the river passes has adopted the name of the river to identify the area. None of the people in that area have ever seen the river. 8)

The only town on the Wollondilly River is Goulburn but Goulburn is not in the Wollondilly area.

I've been living in Victoria for 30 odd years now, but I was born and grew up in and around Camden. Many a fond memory of drives out around Mt Hunter, The Oaks and Silverdale when the open speed limit was "50mph Prima Facia" (provided you kept both eyes open for coal trucks). And who could forget dragging from Camden to Picton over Razorback. Luckily I had a friend I went to school with who was stationed at Camden Police (who co-incidentally drove a Cooper S "company car"  )
