If Nick had spent a fraction of what he's spent on it on flowers he would have something better to do then polish his mini at night

Looks good though Nick , I agree with that horrid stuff that goes over the normal hoses , looks like a loose condom on the hose instead of a high pressure hose .

I've never thought of it like a loose condom before - you have such a dirty mind Ian

Nick,

You could have said that was what you were after - I have an account with Earls:

http://www.earls.com.au/

I get 45% off RRP!! I am going to use the Pro-Lite braid in The Cat. What a lot of people dont know about the stainless braided line is that they are extremely abrasive. They will wear through your rocker cover, or any other part that they touch.

At the least the Pro Lite is nylon braid, more flexible, lighter, non-abrasive and most importantly less expensive.

Cheers,
Tricky

P.S. The engine bay looks excellent and good luck with the door!!

Real men don't need heaters in their cars :P

BAH!! Come down to Canberra and say that. Last winter I was driving a Mini Van as daily transport and not having a heater really, really sucked.

Never experienced a winter in Toowoomba then, have you?? Last winter on the back dock at work it was negative 16 degrees when I started at five one morning. Usually sat at around negative nine though. Warmed right up to four degrees during the day though

What you guys who only see pictures don't understand is that EVERYTHING on Nick's car is at the same standard as his engine bay, or is slowly getting to that standard. No shortcuts, no "close enough is good enough", no scrounging. That car is a true labour of love, and has to be seen in person to really appreciate the quality of work and the time that has gone into it...........and it's driven daily!!

Looks fantastic Nick!!! I know why you've done it

I second that , Nick was all apologetic that it was dirty and loaded up when he came down to Coff's for a visit and it was still amazing , it's a real credit to him and his shiny stuff fetish is uncontrolable .

i spent over 100 bucks for two small fittings and a 30cm bit of hose.. for the porsche, dont use it unless you have the proper pfe or equivilent fittings otherwise it wont clamp properly and looks crap with the fraying ends.. sorta wasted stuff on a road car but almost essential on a race car, good stuff just an absolute bastard to put the fittings on.. how do you find your temps with the water hoses??? could stuff up heat transfer

Image I dunno yet, I haven't put them on. I have never had an overheating problem in the past anyway - even in stop/start traffic in the centre of town on a hot day. Time will tell and I'll work something out if it does get really hot ;)
