Re the float bowl needle and seat, I use the Fuel Miser kits SU-750 (made in Oz) whenever I do an SU up, never ever had a problem with them.
needle is Viton tipped.

well i gave the bowl a tap with a screwdriver and turned the pump on to see if it would overflow and it didnt. couldnt start it due to to many cars in my driveway and dad doesnt want me starting it in the garage
