That is fantastic - but I can only send the bonnet, not the front end of the car and I'm not sure if the whole thing would would if just the bonnet was painted. I want to hear every idea though so I'd prefer not to offer my ideas because I think the best idea will be something I never thought of.

Well gents and Ladies, you can see what the finished project is going to look like, and yes it looks absolutely awsome in real life. Trixitrine is a really talented young lady, took a little bit longet than I expected but it was worth the waite.

Bonnet is only going to be used as a theme at car shows or for display purposes, not for everyday driving, too precious for that.

Will post some pics when Clear coated and fitted to car, and yes I am looking for one of those gear knobs with the Red Back suspended in the top, any ideas where I might find one.

What would be the best way to get spider web on the windows.... :D

I've got some great web spinning spiders in my garage. I'll send you one, just let him/her loose in your car for a few days.....

Most autoparts places can still get them in and they also turn up on ebay from time to time , just a matter of being patient .

How permanent do you want , you can get thin , reflective pinstriping tape and use that though it may need replacing in a year or so or yoy can mask the window's leaving the web pattern exposed and lightly sandblast the glass to get a permanent image .

Dicko, I believe you were down here on the week end, you should have come up and said G'Day mate, it would have been great to have a chat with you, so don't be a stranger next time.

Had teenage kids in tow and you know what they're like  I caught up with Fred Nutz and Trixitrine which was great. The plan is to have my car there next year so then I'll have to stay all day :D

Your car does look great Davo, and that Bonnet was fantastic. My Sister in Law does air brushing.... :D :D :D

hey thanx everyone!!

Kennomini - Geez what a flashback - I havent seen one of those gearsticks for yonks... Anyway, automotive basecoat is what is used on cars 2pac is a big big problem because it is a complete unit - I will try to explain.... normally cars are painted with undercoat which is an 'open' paint, one that is penetrable, will be affected by elements etc, therefore they get a clearcoat to seal them - 2pac is a 'closed' paint essentially includes the clearcoat, its already sealed so I cannot airbrush on 2pac with basecoat - It just wipes off (I've seen it happen  lol) BUT I can airbrush 2pac on 2pac... which is a. Very expensive and b. poorer results, as the paint tends not to blend as nicely, and its a thicker paint thats harder to work with... you probably already know the above about paint, but its easier for me to explain it properly.....
What kinda design you thinkin of?

Yeah I thought it would be a big problem :( the design will remain a secret  , I might try some of the local sign writers and see what they can make on vinyl :? .
