Guys in US fit 'em all the time. Out of Austin Americas (2 door 1100 body).. that's why MM make a solid sandwich plate! 8)
<edit> the 1100 gearbox case will take a Mini remote diff housing too, if you'd rather.. :wink:

OK so the main reasons why 1100 motor/gearbox combos are not being scooped up and whacked into Minis is ....it ain't a straight swap....and you have low geared widely spaced box...that'll do it everytime!! :wink:

1100 box is really no better than a Mini Deluxe box- these days we all want a 4 synchro one. Most people (except me :lol: ) seem to have lost the art of double declutching back to 1st at 20+MPH in a 3 synchro box, and laying rubber! :lol:

So current favourite choices are a Mini K or Mk2 S box, or a rod change. 8)
