obviously you are too lazy to navigate through the RTA regulations and get yourself some knowledge so

and point 4 above still applies

There is another thread in therewhere I got an answer from most of the states registry bodies about what was required , I couldn't find it last night when I posted . I've had Saas buckets bolted in before and they didn't make the floor flex any more than standard seats did . Some photo's would really help when you get a chance Joe , how big are the feet where the seat bolts to the floor , the Saas ones I had used a flat bar that went the full width of the seat on the floor .

Joe , the info I posted before seems to have been lost in one of the ausmini crashes but I still had 3 of the emails from the states , I've added them here ,
http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... 248#535248

If there's anything you want to know about a modification like this just use the "ask a question" tab on the RTA's website , as you can see from the replies I got they are keen to help and explain things properly .

Read the second post in this thread. Then the very sensible posts that people like mickmini and Ian have added. We have given you the answer about four times over

Edit - Have you checked your floor to see how rusty it is? - could that be the reason for some of the flex?

no rust in floor so its not that.

i just looked at the old bucket seats and there is a big square tube underneith the rear of the seat where the bolts went through. im guessing this stoped the flex. cause the tube on the new seats is half its size.

My Cobra Trophy seat frame was not bolted at the rear, I just welded a crossbar to it so that it spread the load across the floor width. No flex at all.
I'll do the same with my 2 Cobra Classics, their 2 subframe legs don't sit well on a hydro floor.
If it's a road car I wouldn't bolt the rear through the floor unless the frames don't use the stock front mounts.

i think thats what these seats have got but i had to bolt them down cause they moved way to much. especially cause the mounting holes at the front dont match up with the orignal holes properly
