Not such a bad idea Mick.
Joe's been interested in this wedding car thing for a while. I just keep thinking license and insurance?

I wouldn't touch it with a 40ft pole... a normal mini is a money pit... that would just be suicide.

Stretch I'd love to have one I can't deny that 8)

Questions I have thou

You say Enginered is all cool. By the sould of "his" situation when was this done
Mazda 1.5 Engine are you sure this will fit and also Enginered for the stretch additional with the brakes
You still need to workout whats doing with your own drive also

Joe,

For the experience go for it, for the use of the car forget it and find a replacement for Tiny. To me it just looks like a giant yellow pandora's box.

just go for it.
ignore the knockers and the sarcasm, you have nothing to lose and lots to gain.....even if its only experience.
best of luck with it.

yeah, just getting back into mokes so i will have to come up with something special.

matt, you are a perfect example of what i am talking about,

i bet you have had plenty of knockers over the years but you ignored them and kept on doing your thing.

thats what successful people do, believe in yourself and you can do pretty much anything.

this isnt a replacement car for tiny, this project is mostly for experience. at the end of it if i dont get to use the car or not im happy to get the experience which may benefit me in the future. yes i dont like working on cars after work however i do like to work on cars on the weekend and with the company of others.

the motor does fit and has the subframe made up and fitted to the car already. the engine runs and it is fit snug inside the clubbie engine bay. it is no different to a toyota conversion. like i said im not buying the thing and it wont be just me working on it. there will be a written agreement on what happens to the car once its finished though. the guy that owns it is pretty handy already restoring 2 really old forklifts to good operating condition. i seem them in action, his also built himself an elevator for his warehouse to gain access to the upstairs floor with great success. he is also nearing the completeion of a fiat bambino wagon that his was slowing restoring and is half way through a hydrogen engine project. so id say his pretty handy and mindful

Well if its only going to cost you your time but not your money and at the end of the day you walk away from it with experience, then go for it.

If that is the case joe, go for it. Listen and learn, but try not to loose anything (money) along the way.
