Normal shocks are fine, as with the standard dampening (whatever is left) of the hydro set up, soft shock absorbers are all you need.

I've got adjustable on the front to fiddle around with a few different settings, and have had some fun fiddling around so far, too soft and the back bounces too much, too hard and well....it's just too hard....

Im sure you have to drill out the top arm for the front shocls and also need a Innergaurd shock mount

Yeah, drill it out 3/8" and source a shocker top mount from a wreck, as well as the bolt that goes through the top arm.

The top arms are bloody hard to drill on the car, the arm is made of tuff stuff.
If you follow my how-to in that forum and use M8 high tensile bolts (bush the shock to suit) you won't have to drill them.
Mine has been like this for 10+ years now, no problems.
