Yeah, drill it out 3/8" and source a shocker top mount from a wreck, as well as the bolt that goes through the top arm.
The top arms are bloody hard to drill on the car, the arm is made of tuff stuff.
If you follow my how-to in that forum and use M8 high tensile bolts (bush the shock to suit) you won't have to drill them.
Mine has been like this for 10+ years now, no problems.
