So this is a 28amp unit then? How adequate would it be for a car with electronic ignition, spotlights, halogen headlights and a sound system (no amp)?

Should be no problem, back in the late 60s we used to rally Minis with all that (except electronic ignition) using the humble 22A generator!
Those who fitted alternators mainly did so for reliability, they didn't blow up at high rpm.
Personally I like the later 15ACR Clubby one, as unlike this one you can get the brushes out without pulling the end housing off. :lol:

It is a 15ACR alternator and it still has the sticker on the side of it.

That's not the one I meant, I was thinking of the later Clubby's 16ACR.. :lol:

One thing good about this model you pictured-
You don't have to unsolder the slip rings to get the rear bearing off.. :wink:
