Thanks for a great pic.
It's from Stoneleigh Park, UK, March 2007.

The BMC Transporter seen here (reg.BMC25) is a copy of the original transporter reg. BMC34
There were build only six identical to this one, one is in AU as a camper, Reg. RGS425. (See photo at the beginning of this tread).
It were used by the Leyland Young Lions early seventies.

Notice how this vehicle has a flat windscreen bent in the middle but all the
others have curved screens. So maybe the Australian one broke it's screen
and the curved one was too difficult to obtain? Though it's a lot of work to rework the body.

Found a great clip at YouTube, showing a race at Sandown Park, November 1964.
In the first 4 seconds, you can see the front of the BMC Service Training Unit that later was used by The Young Lions, and now are this Camper!!!

Take a look:

Hi Watto !!!

Not really, Wayne Carini of CT is the buyer. (the guy in the Discovery series: Chasing Classic Cars")
He is a friend of Jay Leno and the bus have had a "face up" in his garage.
Those "buddy" guys, you now !!!

Thanks.

Here's another YouTube-clip, Chasing Classic Cars and MOALA with the US bus. Driven by the new owner, Wayne Carini.
Enjoy.
