I've just put my form in for the regularity... $155 isn't a bad price! Going down to P.I in Feb to work out a regularity time to nominate and make sure the car's running well.
It's been re-wired, re-plumbed (oil) and re-stumped (subframes) in the last 3 months over summer.

Also to make sure it doesn't overheat - i'm going to test out putting the standard mini cowl over my pusher thermofan on the radiator and see what effect that has.

Is anyone aware of how many of the 60 entries have been taken up ?, With the amount of "press" this regularity has had I'd be fairly sure that the numbers are getting pretty close to the capacity ?

Any VMCI/VHRR spys amoungst us ?

To my knowledge there are 10 or 15 spots left.

They usually run for 10-15 Minutes...I'm not doubting what you say but it would hardly be a challenge to run two....or.....run two groups half a lap apart 8)

That would be 2 groups of 60 cars.....that would mean 120 cars on the track at one time at speed.....as fun as it would be to watch the mayhem unfold  its just not going to happen.....

Q/how would you get the 2nd group of cars on the starting grid?

Please note that the w/end also includes practice and qualifying. and a fair few people taking part are also part of the officials from various points around the track.

Regularity's are a rolling start....usually behind a course car.

maybe send them out through the back gate around Turn 9 (I don't know the track well enough to say...but I'm sure something could be worked out.

There is no way they will run two, if anything they will scrap one if the other race events are delayed! The races start before the last cars exit the track, that is how tight the schedule is. It is not uncommon for display laps and regularities to be cut short for red flag incidents preceeding them. Don't want to put anyone off but don't expect them to allow more than 60, if your going to do it you better get in now. As for $155- that is just the entry fee, if you dont already have an Level 2S licence that will set you back another $95- (I think you need to be in a club too) and hopefully you already have a fire extinguisher, CAMS approved helmet, suitable wrist to ankle clothing (doesn't have to be race wear) and have a roadworthy car, it will be scrutineered, then there is the cost of fuel, travel and accomodation so it does add up but is well worth it of course. Oh, and you have to own or hire a timing transponder and I guess buy race number stickers for the doors although they haven't mentioned that in the mini mag. The organisers are also suggesting you have some track time prior to the event ie. a hillclimb or similar. It will be great to watch but I wish I was out there! PS: Your insurance is probably invalid on a racetrack too!

anyone know how much it costs to rent a dorian timer? I've asked around the locals a little bit for a loaner, but haven't found one yet

I think shannons will allow you to add it to your cover - I bet it's expensive though
