We are going to try and organise a bigger contingent from "Mexico" to make the trek up to QLD (once there is a date organised :x ) as my story of last years journey made it into the VMCI magazine and i had a few enquiries from other members (might take an extra day or so to get up and back, just incase there a any cases of "mini-itus" along the way  )

Scott , maybe look at doing it up the Hume and Pacific highways , there are more of us along the way who can offer breakdown services if you go that route .

I was thinking about going that way but it all depends on who is tagging along and the time frame available to us. Will also check the avaerage time frame with google earth on both routes.
If it ends up being just myself again i will do the overnight run straight up the middle again and take spare jar of "Bosch smoke" with me:D
Are you going to head up there this year again Ian? (yes my boot, door pockets basically any available space will again be full of tools and spare parts......for "just in case" )   BALLISTIC might also have shiney paint too :!: :!: :!:  8)

Hey guys, the muster committee has been formed (quite a few of its members are here on ausmini e.g. me LOL) and are working on locking in a date and a venue at the moment. We are pretty close so will be putting up details as soon as they are confirmed :)

I love Lucas electrics - I wish I could build an electrical system that lasted over 40 years of neglect and back-yarders screwing with it

murphy on the other hand

Disclaimer: It is still early days so nothing is confirmed yet

Looks to be in August again, possibly early-mid August. We have a couple of venues in mind :)

Oooo confirmed is the fact that there will be an ausmini stall and i will be running it (and I may even wear a nice black ausmini singlet top...to promote sales of course  )

Oh and we might get up to Sydney to attend thier big show if there is one happening.......but i havn't heard anything yet

You may find there is nothing major on the agenda with NSWMCC, apart from their annual show at Gannon's Park in September.

They have their big shindig every five years to celebrate the Aussie anniversaries (last one was at Penrith, Minis Down Under, in 2006 for Oz Mini 45).

Next big shebang for NSW will be Oz Mini 50 in 2011 (only two years away - start planning people, but don't make it clash with anyone else's event  )

I fully understand their reasoning for this too (after all, 99% of all Minis in Australia were made here), and it gives us more big events spread over the years.

Cheers,
Watto
