Minis have a great handbrake when it is adjusted properly. It will certainly slow you down in an emergency, probably just as well as half a dual circuit system.

I've had this situation once before many years ago. Pulling on the hand brake in an emergency made the rear end of the mini fishtail all over the shop. I mounted the passenger side curb, whipped acorss to the other side of the road and finally straightened her up. I missed the parked car, but if there was anything on either side of the road I would have been creamed!

Quick question to all you mini geniuses out there.

can you fit a dual brake line system to a single system car? including swapping the master cylinders?

If I was going to convert a single system to a dual system ,I think I would fit the Rover Mini type of brake System, This system includes a booster

With this M/C [http://www.minisport.com.au/prod604.htm] can it be directly fitted to earlier model minis and can it be run with a remote booster elsewhere?
