not many non-mini people can tell the difference, but I bet the same guy wouldn't walk up to a bini driver and say that

yes, everyone used to own a mini, everyone has a story to tell about them, it's a good thing - you'll always get some wallies, but we can chuckle about it to ourselves. I try to smile and go along with them, it's not a big deal

I occasionally have people come up to me and tell me how fast their friends cooper s was as if I don't know - and they're standing right next to the badges on my cooper s - it doesn't look much like your regular wide wheels brg & white roof variety

yesterday at my friends workshop there was a young guy who didn't know any specifics about minis, but surprised me by knowing that the same motor was used in spridgets, a40 farina, and that the datsun A series was a copy
