You can get stuff to decoke two stroke boat motors, it's in a aresol can you just empty it into the carbies and run it for 15 minutes, gets very smokey for a while. Don't know if it would work on a car but if it's that bad i can't see it hurting .

could be just a matter of changing the octain of fuel.
My wife has relaised that if she puts in 98 instead of 91 her drive does not ran on. Try it and see what happens

given my limited (nil - you all probably now know less for reading this) mechanical knowledge, i think i'll try the higher octane fuel first as i know how to and it's come up a few times...

It should still be ticking over around 800 - 900 rpm and didn't run on........If you need some assistance give me a call and we shall get it sorted.

Has it been living on a diet of Premium fuel?
The timing was set where it should be, the rocker clearances are right and now its getting the right amount of fuel into the cylinders.........
Does it do it everytime?
 Maybe i should have driven it hard to get rid of the build up in the cylinders :!: :P

Seeing you've got such great pre-ignition there, maybe you could switch to diesel and improve your mileage

tried out a higher octane fuel option. put in some shell v-power on the weekend, and it definitely seems to have helped. it's still happening sometimes, but a lot less.

throttle adjusting screw is generally on the top when looking down next to the piston chamber. what carb do you have? might be worth actually giving your carb/carbs an adjustment, dont know what setup you have but heres a basic tuning guide for twin su's http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/balancecarbs.htm it can be more involved than this but its a straight forward guide. it'll be easier if you have a single carb. try a search
