Hmmm but they didn't run those on the autobahns etc though, did they..
I bet nobody would hear them.

Personally I would like to have installed a HornBlasters, but they're mucho $$$ and hardly legal.

+1 for the Stebel Nautilus. I have one on my motorbike, mounted behind a sidecover. Easy to fit anywhere you want, but try and keep it relatively free from water splashes although the one on the bike seems to survive nicely.

The other option is a set of horns from a modern european car. The ones in our Volvo V70 sound superb - lovely tone and fairly loud.

Or you could try these:

They will just fit under a roundnose bonnet, at the expense of access and other sensibilities. Put a tank in your boot and you'll be the biggest a**ehole in town. Not sure if I have the cahones to fit them to my mini, but it would have to be as a 'second level deterrent' after the normal horn.

I have air horns working off my indicator stalk. VERY LOUD. If they can't see you, they'll hear you!

I've got a set of three alternating/single blast Stobels up under the RH guard along with their compressor with a switch on the steering column.
