have you tried to trickle charge the battery...? id almost put money on that its the alternator not charging the battery... at least try it.. ive had a battery so dead before that it wouldnt even kick off the jumper leads..

FIXED!:

called the NRMA out and he was impressed with the head gasket. happy i hadn't called him out for the same problem.

the problem this time though. i'm embarrassed turned out it was just a dodgy connection from the negative lead to the car body. i was so close to it i can't believe i missed it.

he nearly missed it to. almost had a new battery coming in for me. so she is running great now and is ready for the run on the 31st.

i take it i dont have to go looking in the garage for the battery charger then.
looks like you made the drive down to wollongong with no problems but now you're down ehre everything is going bad

well really i neglected her once i got down here so over time these things kinda compiled. if i'd have sent her to service as soon as i got here she would have been good.
