hee hee,,, it`s in a huckleberry fin book or a Tom Sawer book or something like that,,, this kid was told to go & paint (white wash) the front fence & one of his mates came along & Tom (or whoever it was) said it was great fun painting the fence ,,, so his mate asked if he could do it ,,,so Tom said that he would let him if he gave him his apple

ah,,, it`s an old joke,,, sorry,,, i`m showing my age now too :-(

& yeah the wheels on the woody are Wellers

No, you're showing your literary depth! Pretty sure it's in the first section of Tom Sawyer (might even be the first five pages!). Nothing wrong with having read of the works of Mark Twain. :)

I actually know a bloke who, when he was a kid (a long time ago), used to tell the kids in the younger grades they weren't eating their apples properly, and would then (successfully) offer to show the kids how to eat it properly.

The steel wellers would be my favourite. 8) I've really come around to clean, polished, widened, steel wheels the last few years... I think they're really underappreciated. :? Or simple (but not 4 spoke/hole) alloys. Gotta get around to cleaning up my Mk 2 Tasmans...
