S crank is back, and next week I'm getting an 84mm stroker one ground. For the next motor... :P

Assembly of the 1360 has ground almost to a halt. -.020" main bearings for a 1275, and Mini timing belts are a bit rare around western Sydney right now.
Timing belt is coming from Ipswich Qld, and I finally found some bearings at Padstow. The other side of town.. won't get 'em until Monday.
So, it looks like not going until next weekend!

Thanks Dean but I didn't find out they had 'em until 11am today.
Monday morning will do.
Didn't find any ARP BB Ford rod bolts for it yet either, and I don't trust these old S ones, so it'll probably have modified BB Chevy ones instead. 8)

Try VPW for the BBF rod bolts:

http://www.vpw.com.au/ieframeset.html

I've unfortunately had to spend about a grand there over the last fortnight, but was very well looked after and saved HEAPS (helped that I discovered that I knew the guy at the counter!).

Thanx for that- I'll get some for the next build.
I was desperate on Monday, so spent $160 on 8 ARP `S' bolts/nuts. Nice bolts, shame about the price..

James,
Just get some nice Unbrako cap head bolts. Grade 12, U won't break 'em.
ps. GR & everybody racing uses them.. 8)

I've got some (modified) BB Chev ones, but the heads turn round in S rods. I could Loctite them, but... no.. not this time!

There is another (hotter) cam coming, but he's not dynoed it yet. Soon...

BTW, I think the race manifold is around $260.. not $160

MiniVan, we've got a mere 3 Minis at the moment, only 1 of which is a goer (my wife's). Next week mine will run too I hope. That leaves my son's Clubbie- it's awaiting a bit of body fettling and some Monza Red paint applied under J_A_M's direction... 8)

I have sold a couple in the last year or two, (to 13secmini, & J_A_M's family) they were cars bought as projects but just never finished.

jeez kev, cant wait for this new contraption of yours to hit the street. :)

guys, his felt a bit quicker then mine with both him and me in it! that over a100kg's of me and kev doesnt look that heavy, but i would be scared to find out how good it goes when it doesnt have 5 sacks of concrete in the passenger seat, (preventing liftoff)
