 Just some small advice.......
PLEASE dont take short cuts when re-doing your engine and or gearbox.......It will bit you in the ar$e sooner than later....do it right the first time and you will have many happy hours of mini-ing
I dont mean to preach but ive seen (and im sure many others here have as well) short cuts done that have cost a fair few dollars and end up in my workshop (or thier workshop) within 12 months they are having to spend that and a bit more to fix the stuff they have just had done as well as repair further damage.
yep cool. tah Ballistic, thanks for the advice.
the only thing that water got into was some in the motor but i droped that all out with about 5 oil changes to make sure!
some did seep in but the clutch is where it got wet hence surface rust coming through and that's only minimal.
the engine is a good engine & i will get it checked over. the reason them bearings are shot the clutch/bearings not adjusted, the bearings were stuffed & was adding to much load onto the crank.
but flood damage is minimal on the engine it self.
i will make sure everything that needs to be done will be done first time round but as i said the engine is good & while it is out id like to give it a little tickle give her some new life.
