ha,,, nice pics bigjobs, & yeah Mick & the EVO-9 is obviously a good package & he`s obviously had lots of time on that track, Same with Chris in the white Rex,,, shes fast too,,, (obviously didn`t run last weekend tho)

the last time i ran there (before the kombi) was about 10 years ago & i did hold the lap record a few times against a gaggle of WRX-s & the like

Stew is the driver in the top 2 mini pics you posted, i`m driving in the bottom one,,, but you may well have noticed the distinct lack of clutch we had on the day,,, what may have seemed like wheel spin was actually clutch slip,,, the whole time :-(

I believe my best time on that track , in my old green road mini, in that direction (10 years ago) was 44-ish seconds ,,, Looks more like Mick has to catch me up yet :-)

The track has certainly improved imensly since those days too so it would be good to have a bit of clutch grip next time we`re out there

stay tuned, we have a new race clutch being built by Hansom young Jim Berry for us at the moment :-)

you wouldn`t happen to have been shooting pics/photos of a std-ish looking green cooper "S" out there about 10 years ago by any chance??? would love some pics of it from back then :-)

cheers mate & hope to se you out there in a couple of months yeah?

get your kombi out there in august and i will try to get some shots of it.

as you suggest, i could tell that not all was well with the mini.

the track is awesome now that it has been resurfaced.

great. i'll do what i can to be there in August to shoot the kombi.

no worries about the photos. its all good practice for me.

i'd like to have a run in my 64 deluxe which it reasonably stock apart from an 1100 engine. i wonder what sort of understeer i could induce  and how the hydrolastic set up would go.

i have been around there in my STi impreza though and that was great.

if i did that though i would not be able to shoot.

Hey the hydro will be sweet mate,,, my roady green "S" that took the lap record all those years ago was on Hydro,,, nice & soft & makes for heaps of grip on the dirt,,, stiff cars are skatey & slide too much & don`t give the grip that a nice soft car does, true!!!

hope to see you out there either way.
