that will work,,, just all that extra brake pipe going to the back, only to come back up to the handbrake is a bit pointless,,, to add horsepower, you need to add less weight :-)

Yeah I was thinking about neatness.
Maybe i'll just bring the pipework straight into the car right near the handbrake and then back out.

Is the top outlet the front brakes? or is the bottom outlet?

This is my next hurdle. Hopefully someone knows... I don't have any workshop manuals here

Top outlet goes to the rear.
Here's a pic of the setup on my car without the Pressure Limiting Valve.

I think these pipes on Barney are original off a late Clubby, the top port goes to the rear.

Its funny, i just went to look at the cars i have here to confirm, 4 of the tandum braked minis,,, 2 have top pipe going to rear & 2 have top pipe going to front,,, BUT!!! the "more" factory looking pipes have it going to the rear.

2 other 2nd hand valves i have in stock here, "look" like factory pipes & the top pipe goes to the rear

yeah , bottom bore is bigger, top bore is small,,, that`s why i figured the top one was for the front,,, It`s weired how i don`t tend to bother to look much until i need to :-)

I wonder how many minis out there have got it wrong :-)

If that is the case, you will get more psi produced in the top port than the bottom- I think the top should therefore go to the fronts.

It does not have to be an LS, it could be any 78 Mini.

The Leyland Motor Corporation 'Comprehensive Workshop Manual' doesn't mention which outlet is front or rear - it also doesn't show or mention a stepped bore.
