Tell her your next project is a minature but pilotable FA18 and you intend to personally be the 'test pilot' at Point Cook when you've worked how to make it. That should get her attention, and a bowl of ice-cream :D

I would indeed like that bowl of icecream... I might be forced to go get it myself...

you got my vote for peoples choice mick. I was going to give it to poeee's van as i thought it would be funny until i saw your lil car and remembered the hours I had spent reading about the build.

Nice cars, good event but I felt like it was missing something. Don't get me wrong, I could not do better

Enjoying Tassie's famous export in the 'Long-neck' variety, leaving the 2 teeth alone, and thanking Mr Moke for a job well done.
Thanks to frednutz&co aka Ian, and Mick for all their help since Friday.

Typed by CAMEL, thanking Mick for the ride home!! :)

was good to put some faces to names as well, although ill still have trouble remembering putting those faces to your nicks.

Added some more pics to my gallery (link in the event photos forum)

was a good weekend, enjoyed it, although my feet are sore from walking around for two days solid.

What a fantastic collection of cars! My 3 y.o. son also loved watching the RC and slot cars too.

One thing that I think could be improved on is signage. I didn't see anything about the history of the mini, changes that were made through time, variants, Leyland Australia.. etc etc. This could go brilliantly with the "Mini Timeline" and would provide another dimension to the event. Joe Public would probably get a lot out of it too. :)

I reckon something like this video could also be a great inclusion.

You need to make up some ausmini flyers and find some Mini's in Mildura! Are there many?

There are a few and I know the people that own them.. They're just not the nice sociable people like I met in Melbourne. They're ones I don't really feel I can talk to at all. I'll sort something out! Few young people with Mini's here... it'll be a start.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. It was a great show and we're glad you all enjoyed it.

Now the big ask. I 'd like a heap of photos to put up on both the VMCi and mini50 websites. Normally I'd put my own up, but I was so busy all weekend I never even took the camera out of its case.

If someone wants to donate some shots for display, please send them to [email protected] and I'll acknowledge you and all!

If they can be no bigger than 800x600 it'd make my job even easier.

Thanks in anticipation, Pottsy.
