Do you find an auto in a truck is a bit silly when you have 18 gears or whatever and it goes through them all one by one? I drove a kenworth out of the workshop and around the yard once, and it was rediculous. You put your foot down, then all of a sudden the whole truck jerks into the next gear and then your jerk again as it accelerates then it changes again. You just sit in the chair jerking back and forth.

I admit you could probably get used to it and operate the truck more smoothly, but really, don't you just want to skip a few gears here and there?
