Got my Qld renewal for the Avalon yesterday - $481 for 6 mths

What gets me is that in both the CTP and the Registration break down they have 'Levy' and 'Surcharge' in both and no explaination as to why there are levies and surcharges. - and these are NOT the road improvement or Accident and emergency service charges or the road impovement charges - they're all extra

oh god anna bligh should be hung drawn and quartered.

Im better off paying the $650 renewal and never voting liberal OR labor again, its like voting for a two headed dragon, or flipping a coin with two heads, you know your buggered either way.

Get a grip. We've had rego that is far far far cheaper than NSW and Victoria for a long time, and now we're only getting close to what they pay. If you'd bought milk for 50cents for a two litre bottle for ten years and then the price went up to $1.50 a bottle, you'd think you were getting ripped off but in reality you're still doing better than everyone else.

Some vehicles in NSW (not outlandish HP cars, just regular commodores and the like) have a CTP Greenslip which costs $1000, and then the registration is tacked on top of that. Don't whinge that yours is $60o because you don't like it.

Did you know that the greenslips in NSW vary in price according to your postcode and age? At least you know that yours is the same no matter where in the state you are.

Bligh and Beattie have bled the state. Apathy always wins. The people stay dorment while incrementally they are screwed. Just look at NSW, or Victoria. Sold off all the Electricity, Water, Banks, and so on. How do they collect their revenue now?????

NSW has not sold off the electricity and water. They sold the state bank about 20 years ago. Get your facts straight.

NSW has been trying to privatise the electricity grid since 2004 in a serious way. So im glad to hear that premiere iemma failed in his bid. And only last year. http://www.stoptheselloff.org.au/

But why do you have multiple retailers and multiple distributors if its all NSW government owned????

And this thread has been sidetracked, i apologise :? :? :?

You said electricity had been sold. It hasn't. Clearly you were wrong.
The rest does not matter.
