actually Davo I didn't need a solicitor as I was in the right - only reporting what the judge told the other driver

Just remember people...you can be dead right

Mate hope all is well with you as any sistuation like this can and will crop up a few days later. I trust you reported everything to the Authorities also.

I see an amount of damage thier and As you said the subframe is all good but where the hit is also low on the front I'm thinking the subby has had a hit on it and will not be square no longer. I'd be suprised if the rad has not been punchard also

damn thats a crying :x shame

but i have noticed adelaidians are color blind to the color orange. Namingly indicators. Worst mergers ive come across in four states ive visited. Ive been run up on to the gutter three times since ive been here. LEARN HOW TO MERGE GODDAMIT.

Hope you can sort your troubles out easily with an insurance cheque.

Still drivable i hope.

I tee boned someone who turned right in front of me, ended up in court where the guy was told that if you're turning right you're automatically in the wrong, not always fair (and certainly not in this case by the sound of things) but that's what the judge said

Rehab is 100% correct unfortunately, person who is turning right still needs to give way..

Hope you had comp insurance so you won't be too much out of pocket.

At least it gives you a good reason to have a play with the engine now :)

No good at all :(
Get onto your insurers, and start getting quotes.

I can't think of any spare parts i have that you might need but let us know what is bent and broken and I will have a look and see what I have lying round.

I damaged my first mini the same way ( the amount of damage not the way) and its heart breaking. Don't get disheartened and don't let the insurance mob rush you into writing it off.

SHE IS UP THE CREEK WITHOUT A PADDLE, SO GOOD LUCK.

sorry about the caps lock key,

Just got a call from the girl. she said her insurance company said it was my fault. so it looks like i'll be cranking out the 1k+ excess to fix her piece of crap car plus all the fixing up mine...

Is it worth looking into the possibilities that it was her fault? or just grin and bear it....?

No point, the law is the law and you were in the wrong.
Cheers Pete

First thing is to get some real legal advice , what everyone here is saying could well be correct for their own cases but you are best to contact your insurer and see what they offer in the way of legal advice (some offer the first consultation with their legal team for free) . Do not admit any guilt to anything to her or her insurance company and call your's and explain what happened . Also , have you made a police report about it yet ?

Glad your ok and good luck with fixing the clubby up!

Sounds like a good excuse to do a fibre glass flip front...

Just a suggestion
