Like with the 'S' badge, I wish I had a dollar for every nut job with the 'M' badge on a BMW 318.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the last OZ Coopers were 1970.

you're right, some were plated '71, but basically '70 - obviously there's no way this one is a cooper s if it's a 73, even if it's a UK import...

I had an guy in the army living across the road from me for a while, and he told be about some young guys who bought 3 minis between them, being told they were all genuine coopers. When they had to move on they offered them to me, so I went and had a look, yep, 3 dirty old clubbies...

$7k sounds like a great deal.

Do it.

Leyland Cooper Ss don't come along that often.

You'll be kicking yourself if you miss it.

Actually found the source of the info about a Cooper S with 1973 compliance plate - it's written in the BMC/Leyland Identification guide part 2 which is sold by the Mini Car Club of NSW.....

The car was made in 1971 and sold in 1973 with the compliance plate stamped "9/73" when it was released from the holding yard and sold by the dealer.....

Who wulda thunk?

It's quite likely if everyone wanted Clubman GTs instead of the old model Cooper S......

Someone musta got a deal!

No reason to write it in an official document if not true - I have no reason to disbelieve.....

Is it a Morris, my understanding Leyland didnt produce a Cooper, instead replacing it with a Clubman GT.

Leyland made a lot of Cooper S's, A couple of thousand at Zetland at least.
