The thing about that car is, while it might not be 100% original in its components, it's one of few old-skool vans on the road. If it were mine, I'd preserve that and pick up something else to modify.

My 5c, anyway.

I can't agree more. I'd leave it as is too. You can always find something more suitable for mods.

I also agree that your van shouldn't be modified from standard too much. But with saying that, as long as all the old parts are kept, any mods you do can be reversed.
The hardest part is keeping the parts together with the van after it's sold on.
