I love the working su, thats cool
this is why they are so adaptable, the damper will only lift to give level of air flow that the engine needs. this is why the correct needle is so critical.

Thanks Blake

Take a look at this link, the mini businesses are listed state by state. Any of the guys in the listing should be able to help you with a new starter motor, there's a couple listed for minis in the ACT although courier shouldn't cost that much if the price is competitive from Interstate..
The link is permanently at the top of the page in the How To room.

Another question (sorry im asking so many questions) the spacer between the manifold and the SU, does this do anything? I notice it allows the throttle to clear but m i able to bend the throttle bit a little to clear?

Thanks Blake

It adds volume and length to the manifold, which increases torque...
On Cooper manifolds with twin SUs, I use 2 spacers on each carby.

That link describes a pre-engaged starter, but the part number is for a standard inertia type starter....just be sure you know what you're getting exactly to save on the return post.....

HMG815 starter in that link is the correct one. It's a Gemini copy (made in China...)
It bolts straight into an Oz Mini. Holes are already slotted.

Yeh, It's a little confusing Mick - the description has "REP LRS102" Which means it "Replaces" the origininal inertia type "LRS102".
