At last a decent use for a clubbie !!! Howver, I reckon the snags would taste better if it was a roundie.

I was thinking if you put wheels on it, then the wheels and the back legs may keep it stable.
After looking at it more closely, the wheels probably won't be holding it up, so yeah, that probably won't work.

I recall they had a car BBQ in Fast and Furious 1, can't find a pic atm though, wonder if it was mounted to a wall or something...

anything you cooked on a Bini would be fatty and a bit flavourless

AWESOMENESS, what a great project, i was expecting a fold out bbq from the boot for use on the road, but this is a great idea. Well done.

Now all you need is the rear section of a clubman to turn into a couch. Rear bench seat with legs in a similar fashion.

Can I chase up a bit more advice. I'll be painting it at home an wondering what kind of paint to go with. I've sprayed before with 2k but just small motorcycle panels.
I'm thinking of acrylic however because from what I know it is easier to spray and it is also considerably cheaper. Will it be durable enough however given it will be a BBQ, it may get small amounts of heat and will have the odd bump every now and then.
Any other recommendations? I want something cheap and easy but still look respectable. Thoughts?

You could make up some draws to fit behind the headlights and slide into the wheel arch from the front fore storage of tongs, bar-b-mate etc and the other side could be used as ice storage for consumables eg drinks for the person doing the cooking.....use the headlight rim as the draw pull.
Or put a few hooks on the underside of the bonnet for the BBQ tools while cooking and make a metal box up on castors that will slide under the front between the legs so it can be filled with Ice ....it will need a tap for drainage.

Just a few quick thouhts ...... hope they can be helpful.

Cheers Scott.
