Well they should be fine , after all , you bought them from a mechanic .... (run's away to hide and watch the entertainment  )

It's ok , it's just that Tiny has a lot of history with twin SU's , but not a lot of it was succesful . Just go back to the start and make sure everything is right , no air leaks and linkages operate smoothly .

well having bought them from a fellow mech i didnt expect to have too many dramas so i basicly just fitted them and tried to tune them.Today i desided to pull them back off and set them up myself,i found that the needles were not all the way in on the pistons and not properly centered, all the linkages were out of wack and the pistons were not rising at thesame rate cause for some reason one of the piston shafts where the oil goes in seamed to be slightly wider,I tried to rectify the prob by addind two different grade oils in each one which made it much better but not as good as i wnted it as i didnt want to keep fiddling around with the settings.I found an old 1 1/4 carby i have in the spares and fitted that piston to it along with GY needles and presto almost iddenticle.Being new to SU's i didnt know what to look for so thanx guys for giving me a guiding hand ,.i hooked u the colour tune to see if i was able to get a rih nd len reading happy to say i could.number two spark plug is not firing hopefully fouled and nothing else.ran oout of time but happy with it i will try to tune it tomorrow, fingers crossed.once again thanx guys.

You may have fouled the plug when it wasc not fueling properly, just pull the offending plug out and clean it. I just burn the built up crap off the spark plug with a primus torch.
