A friend of mine worked for a church diocese and when they traded in the bishops car they had to clean it out and found a BBQ chicken, still in the foil stuffed under the drivers seat!

after doing a bit of work on the mini recently... i found

- the 15 - 27cm part of a ruler (Snapped off)
- dead cricket, looked older than me. (+18)
- Spare radiator cap.

I also discovered a small flat head screw driver sitting in a nook in the front of the car near the horn mounts. I would guess looking at it, as it was a wooden handle screwdriver, that it would have been sitting in the engine bay for a long time and many kilometers!!

A mate of mine bought a car off someone connected to a very well known murder case (I stress, not a suspect) and found a knife hidden behind the back seat

I bought a Minimatic years ago, it had very nearly got burned to death in the Glenorie bushfire but was saved.
Inside when I got it a year or so later, I found a very dead and dessicated rat......

We dismantled a Mini Panelvan, we named it druggie clubbie for reasons that aren't too hard to guess.

I found my wifes virginity under the back seat,
she lost it there about 30 years ago....

It was a lot easier then to handle back then
but now its always out of bounds, but seems to suffer a lot of headaches

Its a lot more expensive to get new parts
and it doesn't seem work as well, its a little bit rusty now

But then again, its seen a few rough times over those years
its been put through some strenuous pressure tests
and never popped a hose.

Even today I checked it out, still in the same place I remembered it was
but given the age and constant use, all it needed was a little polish
and it was as good as new again.

LONG LIVE THE BACK SEATS OF A MINI AT THE DRIVE INN....
and I think it was The Italian Job.......................LOL........

Yah but when you are young stuggling student on $4 a week besides there was plenty of time on the way home - time at the drive-in was foreplay - you just had to make sure to didn't take too long to get to the parking spot before she cooled off

the guys working on it had to pop the lock on my mini's fuel cap coz don't have keys , and when they pulled the fuel tank out they found 2 other locks in the bottom of it! I've owned it just over 10 years so they've been there a while! Seems the keys mighta been lost ALOT !
