hope your syncros are better than mine (from karcraft). First set the gearbox wouldn't turn as they were too thick, i went down and measured about 400 of the damn things until i found three that measured the correct thickness.... Just got the car going and 4->3 shift crunches... not happy jan

I'm pretty interested in seeing how it all goes.

I gotta do a gearbox rebuild soon on my supercharged Mini, it puts out a lot less power than yours, but still loves to chew gears and has buckets of low-mid range torque.

A bit over a year ago my idler gear destroyed itself because the bearing failed (ok not gearbox but pretty close) and that was repaired, I needed a new 'box casing among many other parts due to my cheap gearbox rebuild the first time.

Now just recently I found 2 helical gear teeth on my sump plug in two quick oil changes. The second one was quite long and after comparing it to some spare gearboxes of my own it must be a diff pinion tooth I reckon, so not good but not the end of the earth.

It's all part of the boosted Mini thing. I do have a spare 'box off of a Clubman GT engine that was in a hillclimb car (haven't checked it out yet though, still attached to a 1275 block) that might bolt that in instead depending on what's in it.
