I know ACT Rego didn't like them (or braided fuel hose) but that was ages (years) ago...

Mini Spares are now advertising theirs as compliant.... but I'd ask a local brake place

Example - my race mini had braided hoses on the front when I bought it.
These had fittings that screwed into each end and then the teflon(?) inner pipe pushed
on over these and a collar nut over the braiding then "clamped" this to the fittings.

I'd been working one day and dropped a caliper pulling on the hose... externally all
looked fine and put it all back together... but on a test down the drive way the inner hose
came off - and instant no brakes... (glad not at high speed on a circuit!)

I have since replaced these with later hoses which are a 1 piece swaged setup so that
can't happen again !

Issue 2 - this may not affect a road car with a fixed bias valve....
My race car had original rubber hoses on the rear of aged vintage and no doubt heavily
swollen internally (and bias adjusted accordingly)
- so I merrily replaced these with braided ones without thinking.....
This radically affected my brake bias as much more fluid/pressure could now reach the
rear wheel cylinders - and caused my rears to lock up easily.....
and instrumental in my spin at Oran Park that caused heavy damage to Rob Owers mini
when he hit me...
