Welcome Paul. I think you'll find most of the guys from The GT forum are on here too.

Gambier Turquoise is a great colour. My project GT was painted (poorly) in BRG over the top of the Gambier, what were they thinking?

Hopefully it'll be as nice as yours when it is restored.

Pete

It looks tidy, but now that its in constant use I am sure it will soon deteriate it was restored in 85/87. Is a register still being kept? who can I contact to register?
Are the brake and clutch master cylenders still available?

Hey, to be honest I hav'nt a clue what they are worth, I had been looking for a good origional mini for the missus for around 8 months when the GT came up on TMe right on my door step, I veiwed it at around 7am as I was on my way to the coast camping and bought it straight away :D
I was of course fully aware that it was a good buy 8) so all I have to do now, is find a good reason not to give it to the wife :?

Well, my first GT I bought for $1200, but that was back in 1982. About the right price for then.

The next one I paid $1800 for and that was in 1983. This one had the Wabasco Sunroof 8) .

Both of these were in quite good condition mind you.

My brother paid $1000 for his in 1976 and it had a few trick parts.

One of the more recent ones I got, I think I paid a record price for

And the latest one I got for under $4000.

Your right the stripes really do set it off, as for some pics of the engine bay and interior this is where it lets itself down, a non S motor and gear box and pretty much every thing else under the bonnet is wrong, master cylenders etc it has the correct servo  the interior is nice and tidy but again most is wrong bar the back seat which has the correct basket weave in it, it has the right speedo but wrong rev counter..........of course this is based on my current knowlage of GTs :?
I spoke to the guy who restored it in 85/87 and he bought the car stripped down minus the engine and interor so i guess it has what he could find at the time, but on the up side at least he saved it and did'nt build an S replica out of it
