the quarter windows are awesome, but the sliding windows were not great.

if you're budget is less than 7k then you wont have much thats any good to choose from.

however i have seen a few rovers kicking about in that pricerange on ebay, carsales etc.

They should have aircon already and are many times better than an old morris or leyland.

brickworx is closed.

Any one know if you can fit an air cond with a twinky conversion in a round nose?

you should ask matt read, he does the conversions the Guru* he would know, maybe. i wanna know. if anyone is keen i could zip my car up so he can sus out if it would fit?

i would think you would need to just move the compressor to the back of the engine.

i would do a twinky on my 1275 if i could keep costs down & use my aircon.. i love it.

doing the conversion cost more & time as well!.

i wanted my traveler with a few tricks in it.

but if i was to get another mini with aircon, i would buy a rover tricked out .

as the old age story go's, you never profit on a car you loose most of the time, not always though more on the custom tip.

i reckon look for a rover mini converted heaps going around.

Give Josh (miniimports on ausmini) a PM. He brings them in so should be able to help out.

Thanks for the help everybody. I'm liking the idea of getting a rover front cut, then transfering it to a roundnose. If it was for me I'd happily just wind down the windows, but my wife would never actually get in the car during summer without air-con.

It'll be fun enough trying to explain how a choke works.

I am sure there is a negative point in that comment somewhere??

The Rover air-cons work great...however, if you plan to fit them the same as in the Rover's, then you may need to take a piece out of the bottom of the dash area as the fan unit comes up through it....I can take a pic of it if needed as my Rover dash is all out atm...

I haven't been married for a year, so I still like her. Actually building the car for her. But I'm good with any photos. Is the rover air con just a bolt on and run, or does frames, bits and pieces need to be frabricated to make it fit?

Also, just found this on ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MINI-ROVER-MINI- ... 4cee733926

Is it the front cut people were talking about? Interesting to see what it goes for.

I will try and get some pics for you tomorrow mate...

That Rover cooper looks ok, but as it does not have the import papers I dont think it can be complied, also being a 93 model might not be able to anyway....

Josh would be able to help more on the Rover and also front cuts
