what has happened to all the post in chat room

Whatever or Whoever did this cut out all the Posts in Mini Chat and only kept the Polls and sorted them by date from Mr S P's post in 2006 til present.

It has also wiped everyone's Post History and disabled the Search Function ( all the information that was in Mini Chat is no longer included in the Search Function or Post History ) :? :x

it looks as though more people have been beaten by this thing, than people who don't know. It was a tough vote for me, I just didn't know which way to go. In the end I closed my eyes and tried to pick one, but after 5 tries i realised i needed to see, so I just picked the top one :lol:

It's funny - the search still finds a lot of results, but it only shows a few topics. eg I searched for something pretty basic; it showed the first two topics, the next 87 pages of results were empty... eeek!

They appear to be still there for reasons above. Look at the mini chat stats on the index page... about 300 topics and 300,000 posts. That equals an average of 1000 replys per thread! You can't simply manually go to a thread, it says it's deleted. We (well a very ignorant 'I') am working on getting it fixed. I'm fairly stressed and its late and i'm tired...

Can you imaging what would happen if the post counters reset themselves to match the new number of posts? :shock:

DrMini would have a total of about 60 posts and Tombo, MiniMaxx, etc wouldn't change much at all. :mrgreen:

One 'could' say it's quality over quantity :p

I'm confident they are still there. Just gotta work out how to get em visable again.

My bet (without knowing anything of the internals) is that it's a problem with the foreign keys in the database, something has gone BANG in there and things don't quite line up properly.

I've done a lot of SQL recovery work (MySQL especially) so if I can help, let me know ;)
